2020 Stewardship Campaign
This year it's a little different...
As I stand in the front vestibule of the church, I look at the rope leading to the Bell tower and think of all the history that is here. For over 200 years, congregants have come to the church looking to have a relationship with Jesus Christ.
I think about change. If we hadn't changed over the years, what would have happened to this church?
In 2020, we've had to do so many things online and virtually compared to the years past. If we hadn't embraced that technology a few years ago... We would have been scrambling to find a way to reach our people during this pandemic. One thing that hasn't changed over the years is the reason that people come to church. We all want to experience that personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
That's why this year's Stewardship campaign is going to look a little different. Yes, it's important to make your pledge and to fill out your Time and Talent sheets, but the most important thing is that you have the relationship that you so crave with your Lord and Savior. The best way to start your journey in that relationship is by hearing others speak of their experiences where the Holy Spirit obviously was involved. Whether you've had an experience personally, or have witnessed the Holy Spirit touching others we would love to hear about it!
We plan to use Facebook, our website and and four worship services in October to share your stories. You may feel that this is out of your comfort zone, but think of the hope and healing you may provide to that one person that hears your story and needed the message within your story.
Step out of your comfort zone?
When a Stewardship member approaches you and asks if you have a story that you would like to share, don't hesitate for the chance to reach out and make a difference to someone who needs you!
Go...tell your story!
