Anna, the woman we are going to meet in Luke 2:36-37, is described as old and alone. Perhaps this is true to a passerby, but this prophetess who lived as a widow beyond the age of eighty-four is unquestionably vibrant, overflows with God's Word, and loves her Lord. She is a grand matron of passion and purpose, hope and heart.
As we prepare for Sunday, the 27th, think about the woman or women in your life who, like Anna, wore their faith for the world to see. Consider what this woman or these women showed you.
We are the sum of our history. Remember not only who taught you, but what you were taught.
