FULL TRANSCRIPT:

Today calls for a difference, doesn’t it?

Today calls us to action, not passivity, to care not to idleness, to love not continued hate or indifference.

How will this happen?

Before I get to words from Paul, consider words from JFK in the early 1960s. Our 35th president challenged a nation that, by the end of the decade, the U.S. would put an American on the moon. Mockers and disclaimers danced in doubt, but it happened because some dare not just to dream but to look beyond themselves to a greater good.

Maybe JFK or those near him took Hebrews 11 to hear to diffuse doubt and difficulty because Paul has us look to a future that is coming, which is the resurrection for all who believe in Christ. Sunday, we’ll talk about how our story ends, and, because of that alone, we keep reaching for the stars no matter how dark it gets.

Until Sunday, keep shining. And may God bless you and amen.
