C.S. Lewis once said, "We ought to give thanks for all fortune: if it is good, because it is good, if bad, because it works in us patience, humility and the contempt of this world and the hope of our eternal country."
APPLICATION: Hope. It's the one word that calls us out as Christians who have died to Christ so that He lives in us. So, hope. Hope swells when we realize, like Lewis, that thankfulness in all fortune (and misfortune) is an opportunity to seek out and sing to God.
