Isaiah 65:17 reads, "For I am about to create new heavens and a new earth; the former things shall not be remembered or come to mind."
SERMON INTRO: What shakes the heart of a cancer patient losing her hair when she hears this verse can be SO many things. Most of these things, I imagine, are painful, troubling, and/or identity robbing.
In week two of this GOOD GRIEF sermon series, our story linked with scripture focuses on a 40-something with ovarian cancer. In the week ahead, I invite all of us to think of where and how we lose our identity. The losses? Hmm. They're obvious. Let's let the gains be obvious, too.
