TRANSCRIPT: When we experience a storm in life, most often we want to walk away from the pressure or the problem, not walk toward it. But Jesus is Jesus. He says, “Come to me all who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” Then he adds what at first we may not want to hear. “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me… for my yoke is easy and my burden is light.”
Take his yoke? We admit our problems are too great for us after we flop or fail to move forward. We don’t welcome someone else’s yoke, even if that yoke belongs to Jesus.
Or do we? Do we submit and surrender in the storm to turn the heavy-laden imagery of the yoke to something easy, something light?
Say yes. Join us virtually or in person this Sunday to see how. Until then, God Bless you. Amen.
