VLOG

Here are a few lines from one of the last musicals I did before I got the job of being a fulltime dad. Best job ever.

“It is nice to know, Miss Sarah, that somewhere in the world there is a guy who might appeal to you. I wonder what this guy will be like.”

“He will not be a gambler.”

“I’m not interested in what he will not be; I’m interested in what he will be.”

Those are lines from GUYS AND DOLLS, Sky Masterson and um, Sergeant Sarah Brown. And this THE show that I didn’t want to do at first. And the director, Sandi Raub, did an awesome job of bringing that role and me together to complete a vision she had had long ago.

And speaking of vision, this is exactly what Sky has. He sees beyond what is right in front of him—although he has difficulty doing it, until he meets the woman who changes his life and literally brings him to faith.

Paul, in the same way, speaks about what he can’t see—truly—but gravitates toward completely—when we look at 2 Corinthians, chapter 5.

Here Paul is talking about earthly bodies and heavenly bodies. And we’ll unpack this when we meet this Sunday.

I just encourage you to hold onto your vision, especially when you can’t quite see it completely in the now. Because in holding onto the vision, someday, yes, we’re going to see things so much more clearly.

Until Sunday, God Bless you and amen.
