We may never lead God’s people from an oppressive ruler into a land flowing with milk and honey. This doesn’t mean we don’t lead. But before we lead, we listen.
Moses first listened, then he led.
Like Moses, we are called to first listen and then lead.
Even if we lead a pack of one—that one being ourselves through our day—we listen and lead our way through our high waters that get us to where God wants us to be, which is closer to Him.
APPLICATION: The baby in a basket who avoided leadership later in his life didn’t always love what he heard. He also didn’t always immediately respond to what he heard, but he did listen. Then, blessed by God, he made his way. Let’s do the same.
