We’ve all paused and said to ourselves, “I don’t know what to pray for here.”
First, honest places are good places!
And second, sometimes our thoughts are jumbled. Sometimes we don’t know what words to use. Sometimes we aren’t sure what outcome we should pray for, or we feel inauthentic in our words.
To all this I shrug one shoulder. Then I smile. I smile because it’s all good.
Romans 8:26 reminds us that the Holy Spirit understands our groanings. This means sometimes even a sigh in the presence of God is still a prayer.
So, sigh now. Like right now. And don’t worry about your words or your thoughts behind them.
Just pray.
APPLICATION: Yes, pray. Pray when you are clear-minded, strong willed and intentional. Oh, and yes, pray all those other times, too.
