* Our world is troubled.
* God just isn't seen in many places these days.
* I wonder if I can truly be a difference, a light to others.
It's likely you have had one, two or all three of these thoughts at some point or points in your life (because we have all had these thoughts at some point or points in our lives!). Our scripture this morning speaks from the fuel of faith we all need. As something truly amazing happened in the worship we call Pentecost, the same "something wonderful" will happen in hours.
Perhaps we won't have a force of wind literally blowing through us. Maybe tongues of fire won't appear over your head or the heads of those in worship, but yes, oh yes, something wonderful will happen.
As a result of gathering, we will be charged. We will also be positively present to our world which is troubled. And yes, God will be seen through you in even more places because you truly will be a difference, a light to others.
Here is my gentle invitation. Join us for Pentecost, a joyful day of celebration, inclusion, and the roadmap for care and justice for all.
We meet at 10 AM.
