Scripture records different ways Jesus heals people. Sometimes He touches. Sometimes He does not. Sometimes He is right beside the person who will be healed. Sometimes He is not.
What is consistent is how we can be present to those who need to be healed. How? We can hear. We can hold. We can help.
Jesus brings sight to the blind and hearing to the deaf, for example. We can help those who want to see what is right before them. We can also help those who want to hear what they couldn’t understand or consider.
No, we cannot do miracle healings like Jesus did, but this should not stop us from being present to those whose souls can be made well with our love which comes from God.
APPLICATION: Let love come from God to those around you, especially to the ones who are hurting.
