Sermon Intro

Week Of: April 5, 2021
Speaker: Pastor Will Hagenbuch
Scripture: John 20:19-29

Dear Congregation,

Christmas ending is a hardship for some. Social scientists study how darkness really does seep into the winter days when the boxes of Christmas stuff make it back to closets or attics.

Has anyone ever studied this same effect when Easter ends? I hope not. More so, I trust not. Why? Because Easter does not end. We live resurrected lives not one day out of 365; each day we live as forgiven people destined to eternal life because we have committed our lives to a Savior who does just that—He saves! The celebration doesn’t stop when the sanctuary lilies are shared to our wider community. This celebration/realization is EVERY day.

Live a resurrected life. Life a life free from the Mosaic Law that no one could keep, including those who, at least on the outside, professed they did.

Oh, celebrate. Celebrate! Our Lord is risen! To echo the 10 AM Easter message in one sentence, let me say that not only did God’s one and only Son rise, we rise, too!

Tomorrow I will introduce our scripture and the first frames of focus for next Sunday’s worship. Until then, favor? ENJOY!!!!

With love,

Will
