Paul thanks Christ Jesus for giving him strength to do his work (1 Timothy 1:12a).
Being a grammar guy, I wondered for a moment if Paul thanks Jesus for doing Jesus’ work, or if Paul is thanking Jesus for enabling and empowering him to do his (Paul’s) work.
Then came the aha moment. I realized what you’re thinking. Paul’s work is Jesus’ work.
APPLICATION: Have your own aha moment after you listen to what Jesus will have you do, and then do it. Whether its big, small, subtle, HUGE, or all of the aforementioned, make sure it’s his work, and enjoy. Amen?
