God moves.
Sometimes we think God is “up there” and, while we have never really thought about it, God’s “address” is stationary.
This is not true, especially when we remember King David suggesting a permanent home to God be built.
God came back quickly on this idea.
“No.”
King David’s son, King Solomon, did build a temple for God, but this temple—overly glorious and regal in scale and splendor—did not last. It was destroyed.
What IS lasting is God’s proximity to us. By way of the third power of our God, that is the Holy Spirit, let’s enjoy our God ahead of, beside, behind, and especially within us.
APPLICATION: Since God cannot be contained, your love and connection to God cannot be contained or confined either. So now, here, in this very moment, sigh. Smile deeply. God is—WOW!—so much with you! Now go building moments, sighs and smiles together.
