meditation
God is love. That’s a good one. God is Creator. That’s a good one, too. God is Judge? Eh, that’s not easy for some of us. God, Judge?

We shy away from God as Judge because, um, we are guilty. We either want to stay guilty—sinful—or we do not want to get caught. This may explain why we aren’t in conversation with God as often as we should be.

We may experience more injustice in our lifetimes than we can count. Um, it can be a nasty world out there. But this loving Creator who is Judge? This is not just the One to follow; this is the One to seek each day.

APPLICATION: Seek justice. Our Judge rules only in favor of what is good and right and fair. The nasty world out there cowers or collapses when we seek, approach and are empowered by the Judge.
